Installation

All Compose* ports required at least Java Runtime Environment (1.)5 or later.

Compose*/DotNET

• Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
• .NET Framework 1.1

This port has been discontinued. Use the StarLight port for .NET Framework 2 and later.

Download the installer from the sourceforge.net download site and follow the instructions. It is advised to run the installer with administrative privileges as it will install required .NET patches when needed.

Compose*/Java

• Eclipse 3.2 or 3.3
• JDK 1.6 (optional; needed when Eclipse's internal Java compiler can not be used)
  • 'javac' must be found through PATH expansion

Either download a desired release from the sourceforge.net site, or install the latest release using the Compose* Update Site: http://composestar.sourceforge.net/eclipse

When downloading the zip file from the sourceforge.net site you will need to unzip the files to the eclipse directory so that the plugins and features directories within the zip file are in the correct locations for eclipse to find them.

StarLight

• Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
• .NET Framework 2 or later
• "ProjectAggregator2"

Download the installer from the sourceforge.net site and follow the instructions. You need to have administrative rights to perform the installation.
